Hi. My Tipuanu Tipu is growing over on itself. The main stem is shown in the attached photo. Will this correct itself or is there anything I can do ?
Hi Dale I cannot be sure but it looks as if problem was already there when you bought it - the trunk looks too thin for its height. Pruning the top is an option if you don't mind changing the shape of the tree. If you are thinking of changing the tree you know that Tipuana Tipu is considered an INVASIVE WEED and in many states cannot be grown. Other trees you could consider would be Melia azaradach, Peltophorum pterocarpum and Hymenosporum flavum - Native Frangipani
