Herbs > Advice please
Whats the best type of mint to grow for cooking - there seem to be so many.
Spearmint is the one most used for culinary purposes as it is sweeter, while Peppermint is most used for infusions as it is more menthol-like in its flavour. However there are over 600 types of mint and there are many interesting ones as well as many that smell and taste awful. If in doubt pinch a leaf and sniff your fingers, if you like the smell you'll probably like the taste too.
