Hi everyone. Some leaves on my potted viburnum are turning brown (see photo). It does not appear to be related to light - some leaves with it receive full sun while others are in a shadier position. I removed the affected leaves a couple of days ago but it has since affected more of the leaves. I would really appreciate any help in identifying what the cause of this is, and any tips on how to treat or prevent this. Thank you!
Hi Viburnum Guy Unfortunately you photo has not come though. Brown leaves are often a sign of water problems, either too much or too little. You don't say how long your viburnum has been in the same pot. Often the soil in the pot can become really compacted and the water drains down the edges of the pot and not through the soil in the centre of the pot. I find it helps to take the plant out of the pots, tease and lightly prune the roots then sitting the roots in a bucket of Seasol solution for about 30mins before replanting the plant with fresh soil. At the same time it is worth given the upper part of the plant a gentle prune.
