Silver Birch Invasive Roots??
Trees - non native > Silver birch
Are Silver Birch trees able to be planted near drain pipes without fear of blocking them up?
Hey Brett, Silver Birch will be a problem to drain pipes - even plastic ones eventually. They have been known to strangle/crack terracotta pipes and will weedle their way in to any pipe once natural ground movement causes the smallest crack. Then once in, they go haywire and you've got expensive problems. Nice trees - bad habits.
