Help with my Passion Fruit vine

Climbers/Creepers > Sick plants
Hi all, I recently bought a house in bayside Victoria. The courtyard has three passion fruit vines growing at the back of a planter garden and in the last couple of months they seem to be really suffering. The middle one had a massive bulk (I wonder if they were planted too close together?) and I recently gave it a trim to try and help. The leaves have been dropping and new growth is much lighter in color and shriveled. It hasn’t gotten much worse since the trim but hasn’t improved either. What can I do to save the plants? Thanks ??
The average life span for a passionfruit vine is between 5- 7 years. It may be the the plants are coming to the end of there natural life and its time to remove them and replant.
