Hey Paige, I am assuming you mean Murraya paniculata, because it is more commonly used for hedging.
Murrayas have a naturally bushy growth habit, so they don't need a lot of pruning, unless you need to keep them small or want a formal shape.
If so you can lightly prune after flowering and then a light trim as required is also fine.
If its newly planted I'd give it 6 months or so to get its feet in, make sure its not in flower, or about to flower and then give it a light trim.
After all, you wouldn't want to lose those wonderfully fragrant flowers, would you?
