Geum coccineum is an evergreen, low growing perennial with hairy and soft irregular leaves.
It has five petaled brilliant orange to red flowers with prominent yellow centres on erect stems. They bloom in late spring and through early summer but will produce more flowers if deadheaded.
They are frost hardy and evergreen in most averagely warm climates.
They go well in larger containers and make a good edging for pathways
