This huge tree grows to 15m tall, it has a spreading crown and thick branches that can spread over 30m.
The mid-green leaves are large and glossy.
As with all Ficus the flowers grow within the the developing fruit and are not visible.
The fruit initially green turn to white as they ripen, grow in the leaf axils.
At the end of each fruit is a red spot, it is thought to act as a beacon for the fertilising wasp as it marks the ostoile or entrance for the visiting wasp.
These trees are only suitable for large parks.
