Lavandula angustifola 'Munstead' is a very popular Lavender cultivar with medium blue flowers.
A dense and bushy low shrub with narrow grey leaves above which slender stems hold fragrant flower heads aloft.
It makes a great little hedge or pathway feature and the flower heads can be picked off and dried for pot-pourri or the oils extracted for aromatherapy purposes.
Although named English Lavender it comes from much further south.
