A branching, often multi-stemmed, evergreen tree or large shrub. The umbrella-like compound leaves are made up of long, toothed, finger like leaflets.
The leaflets are a glossy, dark green when young, eventually losing its glossiness as they age. Yellow/green flowers are borne in autumn, becoming small black fruits.
This tree does well outdoors in warmer climates only.
They make useful indoor specimens if kept small, but will develop a rather scraggly habit if the light is too limited.
