Conostylis candicans is an Australian native perennial that is closely related to Anigazanthos spp. (Kangaroo Paws) and grows in much the same manner.
Grey green sword shaped leaves grow in a clumping habit from rhizomes (underground spreading stems) and small yellow flowers are born on slender stalks from mid winter to early summer.
Endemic to Western Australia, this plant likes hot, dry conditions and suffers in humid, tropical climates.
