Polystichum setiferum is a tufted evergreen fern with bright green fronds that are bipinnately divided, creating a rosette of feather-like fronds.
Best grown in shaded, moist conditions or ferneries or under trees where their graceful arching habit and finely dissected fronds continue to provide lush, verdant growth year round.
The stalks and mid-ribs are also covered in light brown scales which provide contrast and extra appeal.
This plant received the Award of Garden Merit from the RHS.
Very good for underplanting.
