Grown more for its decorative seeds, Arum italicum is a tuberous perennial plant that has broad arrow shaped green leaves that are veined in contrasting shades of pale green to cream.
Flower spike appear in spring which have a light green, hooded spathe and yellow spadex.
The flowers are not particularly spectacular but the red seed pods, that stand erect like a traffic beacon are attractive and long lasting through summer.
