Broccoli Purple Sprouting is a Calabrese type which produces a multitude of medium sized heads with a lovely purple colour which will diminish with cooking.
It looks wonderful in a stir fry where it is just blanched and so still retains its colour.
Purple Broccoli has been known in Europe since Roman times but has only become widely popular in the last 15-20 years.

This variety has blue green leaves and will grow to 70-75cm in height.
Plant seeds 0.5-1.0cm deep and 35-50cm apart in rows 50-60cm apart.
