The Composting Cannon is a clever variation on one of nature's greatest tricks - composting.
They consist of biodegradable tubes into which you place your kitchen scraps. A handy plunger allows them to be compacted to make more room for subsequent scraps and by removing the air, the process generates very low odour levels.
A galvanised mesh lid then seals the tube off from any local fauna and the worms crawl in through the holes in the sides of the tubes to feast on your food leftovers and carry the goodness out to all your plants.
After a while (around 4 months) the tube will start to bio-degrade, but long enough to allow plenty of kitchen scraps (around 25kgs) to be safely composted precisely where you want it.
Now you won't have to turn large composts or have to carry finished compost to your garden beds. The Composting Cannon makes the compost in-situ - its about as easy as it can be and even works in planters, pots and tubs providing you have some worms in there in the first place.
