This variety has long white stems and large deep green leaves. Taste and texture of leaves and stalks are good.
These can be sown directly into the ground and thinned or sown into seed trays and transplanted when 10cm tall. Seeds need to be dampened for a couple of hours before sowing, to do this place seeds on moist tissue paper for 1-2 hours.
Plants require a well drained sunny position, keep watered and fed regularly and the first leaves should be ready to harvest in about10 weeks. When harvesting leaves it is best to pull them gently from crown and remove the whole stalk.
