Papaver atlanticum 'Flore Pleno' is a perennial poppy with rosettes of blue to green foliage and lovely open-faced, ruffled, apricot orange flowers held aloft on thin stems in late spring.
These plants grow in clumps and spread by sending out runners that will grow new clumps.
They are an excellent addition to a sunny mixed border, for best effect plant in groups.
These are hardy poppies being both drought and cold resistant - though they do not like waterlogged soils.
They also make great cut flowers, with hairy stemmed flowers use only a small amount of water in the vase as they don't like their stems sitting in water.
