Cotoneaster glaucophyllus has a spreading habit with stiff branches that tend to give it an irregular outline.
It is a semi-evergreen shrub.
It has elliptical to oval leaves that are mid-green above, while the undersides are covered in woolly white hairs (tomentose).
Clusters of white star shaped flowers appear scattered throughout the plant in spring and are followed by glossy red berries that grow profusely along the branches in summer, lasting into winter.
It is a very tough plant and is quite frost hardy.
Some Cotoneaster can be a bit weedy, so check with local authorities to see if this species is a problem in your area.
