Clivia miniata is a clump-forming plant with glossy-green, flat, broad leaves that spray outwards.
From the centre rise stems bearing brilliant, multiple-trumpeted flower heads.
It's great for planting amongst trees and taller shrubs, providing good glossy-green foliage at ground level and splashes of brilliant colour in otherwise difficult spots.
Obviously, Clivia minata "Yellow" has yellow flowers; these are not as commonly available as the species which is orange. However the yellow variety is beautiful in full bloom and best planted en masse for best effect.
