A deciduous, single trunked tree with a spreading, narrow domed habit, eventually becoming broader as it ages.
The leaves are shallowly lobed and a shiney dark green above and silvery, tomentose below, turning yellow in autumn before dropping. The silver and green foliage creates a stunning glistening effect in the wind and is one of the major attractions of this tree.
N.B. The roots can be invasive so don't plant near pipes or buildings. A good large landscape tree.
